Carrie-Anne Moss on Supporting Emerging Talent

As Vancouver’s film industry celebrated on The Keg Yaletown’s rooftop patio, renowned Canadian actor Carrie-Anne Moss addressed the crowd of patrons, industry and fans.

At the Talent Fund event, Moss gave a passionate, poignant and humorous speech, reflecting on what an initiative like the Talent Fund supported Micro-Budget Program would have meant to her at the beginning of her career.

“I never in a million years thought I could [be an actor] in this country and so I left, because America held that dream for me… I have envy that [young filmmakers] get to feel so supported. We all know that Canada grows great artists… and to be supported by a Fund like this, I think it’s really incredible.”
