Micro-Budget web series gives pride to Franco-Albertan community

Edmonton’s Franco-Albertan community is a small-yet-mighty part of the city’s population. Through the Talent Fund-supported Micro-Budget Production Program, Far West Productions was able to create the digital series Abigaëlle et le date coaching.

Shot entirely in French on location in Edmonton, this is the first time that Franco-Albertans have had a platform to show the world just what makes their community special.

“We’ve always wanted to tell our stories and this program has allowed us to do just that. The Franco-Albertan community has never had the chance in its history to be represented on camera, to work in this industry in French in our own province, and we are extremely proud of this. A huge thank you to all the donors to the Talent Fund. We really appreciated the opportunity to tell our stories in our language and in our province.”– Corey Loranger

Abigaëlle  et le date coaching premiered on TV5.ca on October 12, 2017. Watch the trailer here: https://vimeo.com/239161327
